Campbeltown and the South Kintyre area are passionate about events and festivals, from small events to raise money for small local charities, to large popular nationally recognised events such as the long standing Mull Of Kintyre Music Festival.

The annual race around the three sides of Campbeltown Loch culminating in between 500 and 600 contestants all participating at their own pace, whether walking, jogging or running for their own health and taking part in a local fun and competitive race.

Stay behind for the Sunday night Ceilidh after the run and to celebrate completing however much you are able to complete!

The 17th Mull Of Kintyre Music Festival, part of the Homecoming 2009 celebrations is to be held in August 2009.

Kintyre's most popular, and largest annual music event is held annually across a long fun packed weekend featuring music from contemporary and traditional bands in a selection of venues around the town, with music to suit all tastes and often a main stream headline band that you are sure to have heard of!

The event is a real gem, with something for everyone, from outdoor activities and fun parades, to competitions, music and much much more.
